Waitomo to Rotorua Roadsides

As we returned from Waitomo Caves, we had a beautiful day to absorb the surroundings on the roadside. Yet again the terrain and the trees stood out as unique to our experiences. And again we saw my favorite “Mopsie” trees. We also watched a cow-parade as they returned home for milking time.

Another common site was a seemingly random stand of trees in a row at the top of a hill. I can only surmise they were planted as a windbreak.

This hillside seemed to cry for black and white.
